I wanted to make a video showcasing the beautiful effect from the Tiffen Black Pro-Mist filter 1/8 density. It manages to create a stunning bloom effect around light sources and softens the image up altogether. It's great for creating a romantic or dream-like mood in your videos. Some of my favorite applications for this filter include wedding receptions and creative work. It would also be a perfect addition to footage taken in urban areas at night, full of streetlights and building signs. This filter is one of the few that I use all the time and can confidently say that it is a must-have for any aspiring filmmaker. The only real downside to this filter is that there sometimes are some reflective artifacts that show up and you will have to change your perspective angle to get rid of them because they do burn into the footage permanently.
